Fifty years deserves to be celebrated out loud. For Mona’s 50th in Cranford, New Jersey, we created a backdrop as bold and joyful as the occasion, with floating florals, rich draping and a glowing neon sign with her name on it.

Florals that seem to float

We layered vivid orange, fuchsia, yellow and green blooms above and around the backdrop, mixed with greenery and warm lanterns. Suspending florals adds height and drama without taking up any floor space, and it turns a plain wall into a full installation.

Deep, moody draping

Behind the flowers, deep-toned draping gave the colors something to glow against. Draping hides plain walls instantly and makes a backdrop look finished from every angle, which matters when guests are taking photos all night.

A sign with her name

A “Mona’s 50th” neon sign sat right in the middle of the florals. A custom sign is one of the simplest ways to make a party feel personal. You can see more on our flower walls and signs page.

Tips for a milestone birthday
