frequently asked questions

  • What wedding floral and dĂ©cor services do you offer?

Everything that makes your day feel like you: bouquets and personal flowers, ceremony arches and chuppahs, centerpieces, sweetheart and head tables, candles, stair wraps, draping, flower walls and signs. Choose fresh, silk or a mix, and our team delivers, sets up and takes everything down, so you can simply enjoy your day. See Luxury Wedding Flowers.

  • Where do you provide services, and do you travel?

Yes, and we'd be honored to come to you! We're based in Wayne, NJ, and celebrate with couples across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, along the East Coast and internationally. Delivery within 15 miles of Wayne is included; beyond that, a travel fee is added based on your venue’s location, and travel for destination weddings is planned right into your proposal.

  • How much should we budget for wedding flowers?

It's okay if you're not sure yet; most couples aren't. Your budget depends on your guest count, number of tables, and whether you choose fresh, silk or a mix. Every wedding is quoted to your own vision, and silk or mixed designs can help your budget go further. Share your budget with me and I'll tell you honestly and kindly what it can do.

  • Do you have a minimum investment?

Yes. Full-service fresh wedding florals start at $7,500, so we can give your day the care and design it deserves. If that's more than you planned, our silk packages start at $2,900 and still give you the full look. Share your budget with me and I'll gladly help you find the right fit.

  • How far in advance should we book our wedding florist?

As soon as you have your venue and date. Peak-season Saturdays fill first, and many couples book a year or more ahead. Reaching out early simply gives us more time to plan your flowers together, without any rush.

  • How do we get started, and what information should we provide?

Thank you for thinking of us! Fill out our inquiry form, or call or text (973) 330-9323. Share your date, venues, guest count, number and shape of tables, colors, inspiration photos, fresh or silk, and your budget. If you don't have every answer yet, that's completely normal, and we'll figure it out together.

  • What if we don't know which flowers or arrangements we need?

That's completely okay, and you're not alone; most couples start right here. Send me photos you love and tell me how you want your day to feel, and I'll gently guide you through what your ceremony and reception need, which pieces matter most, and which flowers are at their best in your season.

  • What does your consultation and design process look like?

We start with a relaxed consultation by phone, video or in person, all about you. You'll receive a tailored proposal in your client portal, we refine it together until it feels just right, and your date is secured with a signed contract and deposit. About two months before the wedding, we finalize every detail with you and your venue, so there's nothing left for you to worry about.

  • Can you work with our inspiration photos and wedding style?

Yes! It's your wedding, so we'll design what you would like, and your photos and Pinterest boards help us bring it to life. Of course, we love a wedding where we can let our creativity go wild, so if you give us creative freedom, I'll be cheering inside, in my heart.

Flowers, Design & Budget

  • Do you offer fresh flowers, silk flowers, or a combination?

All three, so you can choose what feels right for you. Fresh flowers are perfect for bouquets and anything seen up close, and our premium silks give arches, stair wraps and centerpieces the same full look at a more accessible price. Every high-end florist uses silks to add to their fresh florals, and many of our couples mix both. Your bouquet is always fresh and yours to keep.

  • Can you help us prioritize our floral budget?

Absolutely, and I'd love to. I suggest putting the most into what every guest and camera sees: your ceremony backdrop, sweetheart table and head tables. From there, we can make your budget go further with silk, repurposed ceremony pieces and candles, always with your vision in mind.

  • Will we see a design proposal or floral sample before the wedding?

Yes. You'll receive a detailed proposal in your client portal listing every piece, its flowers and its price, so you always know what to expect. We also offer fresh floral centerpiece mockups; the cost varies depending on the arrangement, so book a consultation and we'll gladly send you a proposal for your mockup.

  • Why do wedding flower quotes vary so much for the same inspiration photo?

It's such a fair question. One photo can be made many ways: different heights, fullness, flower varieties, vases, candles and labor. When comparing quotes, ask each florist exactly what's in each piece and what's included, so you're comparing the same design and can choose with confidence.

  • What does a florist's minimum investment actually include?

A minimum is the smallest order a florist accepts for your date, and it isn't the price of your design. Our full-service fresh wedding florals start at $7,500. When you compare florists, also ask what their prices include: with us, delivery within 15 miles of Wayne, setup and pickup are already included, so there are no surprises.

  • What does our wedding flower budget actually look like?

Here are real numbers to help you plan: full-service fresh wedding florals start at $7,500, our Ceremony package is $2,900, our White Reception package is $3,900, and complete silk wedding packages run from $8,050 to $10,600. Every design can be adjusted to fit you. See our Décor Packages.

  • Are candles and greenery really less expensive than floral centerpieces?

Not always. Candles still need candelabras or hurricanes, plus setup, lighting and cleanup, and our candelabras are $200 each. They look their most beautiful as part of the design alongside flowers, giving your evening a soft, warm glow. See Candle Design.

  • Are bud vases actually cheaper than one larger centerpiece?

Not necessarily. The price depends on the number of vases, the flowers in them and the time to place them, and 5 to 7 bud vases often cost about the same as one centerpiece. Choose them because you love their soft, personal look, and I'll help you balance the rest.

  • How many bud vases do we need without making our tables look sparse or crowded?

For a round table, usually 5 to 7, often mixed with candles. Long tables need more, in small groupings down the length. Send me your floor plan and I'll plan the exact count, so your tables feel full and welcoming, never crowded.

  • Can we use fresh bouquets and silk centerpieces without the designs looking mismatched?

Not at all. We design fresh and silk as one look, matching colors, flower types and shapes, so they feel like they came from the same hands, because they did.

  • Will silk wedding flowers look realistic in person and in photographs?

Yes. Our premium silks look full and real from where your guests sit and in your photos. For pieces seen very close, like your bouquet, we recommend fresh, so every detail feels just right.

  • Are your florals sustainable?

Yes, and it's something we care about deeply. Our silk flower walls, arches and arrangements are cared for and reused wedding after wedding, so nothing is thrown away the morning after. Fresh wedding flowers are grown, refrigerated and often flown in, then usually discarded after a single day; choosing silk means fewer flowers grown and shipped and far less waste. It also helps keep costs down for you.

Your Wedding Day

  • Do you provide candles, rentals, draping, and ceremony structures?

Yes, so one caring team handles your whole look: candles and candelabras, floral arches and chuppahs, draping from $450 (walls, not ceilings), flower walls and signs, stair wraps and bloom bars.

  • Are delivery, setup, and removal included?

Yes, for everything we install, with delivery free within 15 miles of Wayne. We can begin setting up as soon as you and your venue allow. We always love having more time, but we've created beautiful setups in just one hour, so we gladly work around your schedule and your venue's. We coordinate pickup with you and your venue, and we're fully insured, with a certificate of insurance available for your venue.

  • Can ceremony flowers be repurposed for the reception?

For the most part, yes, and it's a lovely way to enjoy your flowers twice. Arches, arrangements and candles can often move to your sweetheart table, cake table or mantel during cocktail hour. The moving fee is determined once we know your plan, since everything has to happen within that one hour: it depends on how many pieces we move, any stairs or long walkways, how far we travel (for example, from a church), and the extra hands we bring in so it's ready on time. We'll always talk it through with you first.

  • Do you coordinate with our wedding planner and venue?

Always, and happily. We work directly with your planner and venue on setup times, floor plans, candle rules and load-in, so you don't have to carry any of it.

  • Can we adjust our floral order after booking?

Of course. Plans naturally change as your date gets closer, and that's okay. Counts and details can be updated, and all final changes are due at least two months before the wedding.

  • What is required to reserve our wedding date?

Thank you for choosing us! Accept your proposal in your client portal, sign the contract and pay a 50% deposit. The balance is due two months before the wedding, or in full at signing if your date is within two months. We accept major credit cards, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, ACH, Klarna, Affirm and cash, and payment plans are available. Start here.

  • Can bridesmaid bouquets become centerpieces, and will the tables be ready before guests arrive?

What a sweet idea. Your tables are always finished before guests arrive, so bouquets can't be the centerpieces when the doors open, but they can be added to the sweetheart or head table after your entrance. Just tell me early, and I'll plan it with you.

  • Does repurposing ceremony flowers always save money?

Not always, and I'll always be honest with you about it. It saves the most when a large piece does two jobs, like an arch that becomes your sweetheart backdrop. Because moving pieces during cocktail hour takes time and extra hands, the moving fee is determined by your plan, and I'll help you decide when it's worth it.

  • Can we hire a florist for bouquets and ceremony flowers while handling our own reception dĂ©cor?

Yes, and we'd be happy to be part of your day in whatever way you need. We offer custom packages for just your personal flowers and ceremony, or any part of your day. Fresh bridesmaid bouquets start at $60 and our Ceremony package is $2,900.

  • If we provide our own vases, candles, or silk flowers, who sets them up and removes them?

We set up and remove everything we provide. We don't remove couples' own vases, candles or silk flowers, because our insurance doesn't cover items we didn't source. The one exception is sentimental vases, which we'll gladly take care of for you.

  • How do I book a flower wall, arch or centerpiece rental?

Click the booking button under the item you love to choose your date, or call or text (973) 330-9323 or email info@bloomsbylily.com. After you book, we'll send your contract within 1 to 3 days. See our flower walls, arches and centerpieces.

Bridal Showers

  • What’s included in the Bridal Shower Package?

Our Bridal Shower Package is $2,900 and includes a flower wall or arch, a neon sign, 10 fresh centerpieces and a welcome sign easel with florals. Delivery, setup and pickup are included within 15 miles; beyond that, a travel fee is added based on your venue’s location.

  • Can we book just a few pieces instead of a package?

Of course. Choose only the pieces you love, like a flower wall from $500, a bloom cart from $1,200 or fresh centerpieces from $225, and we’ll design them to feel like one look.

  • Do you decorate showers at our venue?

Very likely. We’ve styled showers at restaurants, country clubs, conservatories and backyards in New Jersey, New York and beyond, and we coordinate setup directly with your venue. See the shower venues we love and our bridal shower décor.
