The grandeur of the Grand Ballroom
The Grand Ballroom has a classic elegance that invites generous flowers. Tall centerpieces of roses, orchids and cascading greenery feel at home here, set beside low arrangements and candles. I love an all-white palette in this room, though soft blush is lovely too. Peonies in season, garden roses and phalaenopsis orchids all feel right at home under such classic detail.
A crystal chandelier in the Terrace Room
The Terrace Room centers on a crystal chandelier that sets the whole mood. I like designs that rise gently toward it, with plenty of candlelight below to catch the sparkle. Mirrored candle accents on each table add warmth without fuss.
The Palm Court
Just hearing the name Palm Court makes me smile. If your plans include time there, lush low arrangements and garden roses suit its graceful character, and a few clustered votives keep the mood intimate.

Designing your flowers at The Plaza Hotel
For a ceremony, I picture a full floral arch or chuppah with an aisle of white blooms. At the reception, our luxury wedding flowers can mix towering centerpieces with low ones, and candles on every table to glow under the chandeliers. Candelabras are $200 each and add beautiful height. For the sweetheart table, I like a long, low garland of roses with taper candles tucked in, so the two of you are framed in flowers for every toast. Little bud vases at the escort card table are a sweet first hello for your guests as they arrive.
