What we love about Pleasantdale Chateau
An estate wrapped in woods and water
Pleasantdale was once a private estate, and the grounds still feel wonderfully hidden away. With gardens, woodland and ponds all around, I like ceremony flowers that look gathered rather than arranged. Think loose roses, hydrangea and soft trailing vines on a garden arch.
The Juliet balcony
The Grand Ballroom has a Juliet balcony, and I think it is one of the most romantic details in West Orange. A garland of greenery and blooms along its railing draws every eye upward. It is also a lovely spot for a quiet photo of the two of you looking down at your guests.
Letting the gardens choose the palette
Because the grounds change so much with the seasons, I love letting them guide your colors. Spring might bring blush and peach, while autumn invites rust, burgundy and gold. Your flowers then feel like part of the landscape.
Pleasantdale Chateau is a favorite of ours. Below is a little of our work, the soft, garden-inspired style that feels made for its grounds.

Designing your flowers at Pleasantdale Chateau
Outside, a lush arch with petals or lanterns down the aisle suits the garden setting. Inside the Grand Ballroom, I would pair tall centerpieces with low garden-style pieces and plenty of candlelight. A sweetheart table beneath the balcony ties the room together. If your ceremony is outdoors, we always talk through a cozy indoor plan too, so your flowers look just as lovely in either spot. Your bouquet can carry a few blooms from the garden palette, so the two of you feel part of the landscape in every photo.
