What we love about The Highlawn

The skyline behind your vows

Every design here starts with the city view. I like to face the ceremony arch toward the skyline so Manhattan sits right behind you, and I keep the florals airy so they frame it instead of hiding it. As the sun goes down, a few candles along the aisle make the lawn feel warm and close.

The gazebo on the lawn is such a pretty place to say I do. Its dark lines look wonderful with white and blush blooms, and a soft garland or a pair of arrangements at the steps is often all it needs.

The covered patio, with a chandelier glowing overhead, is lovely for cocktail hour. Low arrangements on the high-tops and a few hanging blooms near the doors invite guests to linger.

Natasha and Grant's day on the hill

Our very first meeting with Natasha and Grant happened right at The Highlawn, so we planned every piece while standing in the rooms themselves. Their ceremony was planned for the lawn and gazebo, with a floral arch facing the skyline. Inside we created a draped grazing table like a modern Greek table, hanging flowers with globes framing the balcony door, high and low fresh centerpieces, and a sweetheart table set against the city. When rain came, our team set up the whole ceremony in about an hour, and afterward we moved those ceremony flowers to the sweetheart and cake tables. Natasha wrote, "She took our vision and transformed it into something even more beautiful than we could have imagined." You can see their whole day here.
