Arriving under the porte-cochère
First impressions begin at the porte-cochère. A pair of large urns filled with flowers at the entrance, or a floral welcome sign in the marble lobby, tells guests something beautiful is ahead.
A sweeping staircase
The sweeping staircase is made for flowers. Stair wraps from $1,200 trailing along the banister create a gorgeous spot for your entrance and portraits. I like to keep the blooms fuller at the bottom and lighter as they climb.
A ballroom with soaring ceilings
The ballroom's ceilings rise high above the dance floor, with crystal chandeliers and tall windows. Tall centerpieces feel right at home here and balance the scale of the room so the tables never feel small. Candles at their base add a soft glow.

Designing your flowers at The Tides Estate
Outside, the fountain and grounds make a peaceful ceremony setting, and a floral arch or chuppah there frames your vows beautifully. Inside, mix tall and low centerpieces, and consider draping behind the sweetheart table for a soft, romantic wall of fabric and flowers. Keeping the same blooms on the staircase and the tables makes the whole house feel like one story. Under the chandeliers, I love a few candelabras dressed in flowers; they add height and a warm glow, and each one is $200.
